Member Spotlight: Phase Genomics

July 9 at 12:00 pm1:00 pm CDT

Join us Tuesday, July 9, noon-1 PM CST, as we explore the innovations at Phase Genomics with Dr. Ivan Liachko, PhD.

In the fight against AMR, Phase Genomics has developed a unique genomic resource that serves as the world’s largest source of antimicrobial proteins known as lysins.  Lysins are proteins used by bacteriophages to kill their microbial hosts and can be effectively used as precision antimicrobials that overcome resistance mechanisms.  Phase is building a scalable process for screening and optimizing novel lysins to treat a wide variety of infectious threats, including novel and emerging infectious agents.
