Dr. Peter K. Dorhout joined Iowa State University as Vice President for Research in January 2021, having previously served as VPR and professor of chemistry at Kansas State University.

Dr. Dorhout is a fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Chemical Society, where he also served as president. He holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois and a PhD from the University of Wisconsin.
